Welcome! I’m Deb, a Midwestern 40-something with 3 kids, 2 dogs, a house, and some crazy obnoxious dreams.
I became a nurse over 20 years ago. In that time have been a stay-at-home mom, school nurse, Med-Surg Charge nurse, as well as working in Oncology and ECFs. Recently I became a wound certified home health nurse. I learned on the fly how to juggle a demanding career, mother 3 kids, run a home independently, make my smaller budget stretch, and I’m constantly figuring out how to tackle this crazy world around me. I’ve never been one to take a challenge sitting down, though I’ve been known to cry in the midst of it!
I love to travel. I am a sucker for romance & dystopian novels and can’t get enough when it comes to the world of podcasts, marathon videos, the Law of Attraction, and ways to make myself and the world a better place. I prefer to take on DIY projects instead of calling a pro and am far more comfortable in Goodwill and Aldi than Target or Hy-vee.
Despite not running in over a decade, I set out and “ran” a marathon in 2022 and have more races in my future. I have only just begun to explore the world around me and am excited for all life has left to share with me! Despite getting a late start, my goal is to reach FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) by age 60. 🤞 That’s no small feat, but you’re listening to a woman who taught herself how to swim from YouTube videos so she could do a triathlon, so I firmly believe anything is possible! My name means “seeking one” which fits me appropriately, and I can’t wait to share all that I learn along the journey as I seek out all the abundance life has to offer!
I’ve learned to be money-wise through 25 years of life experience. I hope that you will join me as I share practical solutions for your financial health as well as other tidbits. There is so much we can learn from each other. 💛
